Chelsea Tardiff

Since graduating in 2007, Chelsea has worked as part of the KineMedics team and acquired vast experience in consulting on both custom and off-the-shelf orthopedic braces. She has worked with many athletes ranging in skills levels from recreational to varsity.

David is a life-long multisport athlete with a strong background in alpine skiing and several cycling disciplines. His keen interest in biomechanics, ergonomics and occupational injuries led him to a career in orthopedic consulting and sales since 2008. He performs consultations for both custom and off-the-shelf bracing.

John has worked in the field of therapeutic device education and sales since 1980, when he founded Mylon-Tech. That company introduced the new TENS machines and NMES technology to the physiotherapy market in Eastern Ontario. He soon expanded the market to include ultrasound, interferential, laser and many other innovative therapy products. At KineMedics, John continues to strive to bring the most innovative and effective rehabilitative solutions to both patients and therapy providers alike.

Kevin Carrington

Since 2007, Kevin has worked as a healthcare professional with a specialization in care of the lower limb. He is trained in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit and modification of foot appliances and footwear for the purposes of alleviating painful or debilitating conditions of the foot, ankle and knee.
Creds: Kevin is a Certified Pedorthist (Canada), has a Diploma in Pedorthics with distinction from the University of Western Ontario, and a BSc. Honors in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa.

Since beginning his sports medicine career in 1993, Kevin has worked with a wide range of athletes at both the amateur and professional levels. He has worked as an Assistant Trainer with the Edmonton Eskimos and has been Head Trainer with the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs. In Calgary, Kevin continues to work with elite athletes as an Athletic Therapist/Sports Physiotherapist for Hockey Canada, Alpine Canada and the Canadian Soccer Association.
Creds: Kevin graduated from the University of Alberta with degrees in Physical Education and Physical Therapy, majoring in Athletic Therapy and sports injury management.

Lou has led KineMedics’ Ergonomic Consulting services since 2002 and has worked in the field since 1995. He has experience in ergonomics in both office and industrial settings, including as Ergonomist for organizations such as Canada Post Corporation, Nortel Networks and the CBC. Lou has also taught Biomechanics at the University of Ottawa. At KineMedics, he has been instrumental in developing the company’s ergonomic consulting client base, which includes the Office of the Auditor General, Canada Revenue Association, CSPS and Statistics Canada, among others. Lou is also a four-time Iron Man finisher, and is fully bilingual.
Creds:Lou obtained a BSc. in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s degree in Biomechanics from Queen’s University. He is a full member of the Association of Canadian Ergonomist.

Mark founded KineMedics in 1997 with the goal of becoming a valued partner to the medical and sports communities of Ottawa by providing a resource for adjunctive therapeutic products, in-depth patient assessment and education. He has committed his career and his company to providing innovative health solutions for those wanting to lead an active lifestyle.
Creds: He has spearheaded several sport safety initiatives with the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine, Sport Physiotherapy Canada and the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association. Mark currently sits on the executive of the Safe Soccer Committee for Think First Canada, a not-for profit organization that raises awareness for spinal cord and brain injuries.
Along with The Zahab Brothers, Ray and John, Mark founded Terra Fitness in 2008 – a social and environmentally responsible venture providing fitness products on a sustainable model.
He received his BSc. In Kinesiology from the University of Ottawa, with an interest in biomechanics, human factors and sports injuries.
Matt Cassidy

Matt has a wide range of experience in the rehabilitation of motor vehicle accident patients, workplace ergonomic evaluations, and served on several public accessibility committees while living in London, Ontario.
Creds: Matt is a Registered Occupational Therapist and has a MSc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and a BSc. in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. He is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists, World Federation of Occupational Therapists, and the Association of Canadian Ergonomists.

Since graduating in 2001, Mike has worked at KineMedics as a shipper/receiver, where he has reorganized the warehouse, enabling operations to run smoothly and to help accommodate growth. Today, he oversees KineMedics’ inventory management and purchasing.

Patrick Brookes

Since 2000, Patrick has worked in orthopedic bracing and rehabilitation. His experience includes patient consultation and extensive work with athletes at all levels of competition, including the Ottawa Senators and Ottawa Renegades.
