Ergonomic Assessments

We provide two types of ergonomic assessment:

Individual ergonomic assessment − An in-depth evaluation of an individual’s physical work environment − including their workstation, job tasks, and daily work cycles − that focuses on correcting specific occupational injury pathologies.

Group ergonomic assessment − A half-day program designed for groups of six. It includes:

  • 1-hour group educational session to provide employees with the necessary skills to assess and evaluate their current workstation and make educated decisions using sound ergonomic principles.
  • Knowledge and information transfer to so that employees and manager can make future modifications in light of new equipment or minor injuries and discomforts.
  • Education about risk factors, signs and symptoms of repetitive strain injuries.
  • Brief individual workstation assessments for each member of the group.

Deliverables

We will provide an evaluation report with recommendations to reduce pain, discomfort or risk factors that may lead to musculoskeletal disorders in the future.

The recommendations will focus on establishing an optimal ergonomic work environment in which each component of the space is placed in the ideal location for its purpose and use. This location is determined on the basis of human sensory, anatomical and biomechanical abilities and limitations.

Upon request, our Ergonomist can also oversee the implementation of the recommended changes and appraise their effectiveness with an appropriately timed follow-up session.
